Goose Creek Gardens offers a Spring Greens CSA each spring.  We offer our greens for a 8 week subscription which includes greens, herbs, spring vegetables and seasonal specials from our friends' farms. 

Payment of $180 is due on March 31, 2010. 

We started planting seeds on February 15.

Pick-up will be Late on Friday's from 4 to 8 PM or Saturdays 7 AM to 3 PM at Goose Creek Gardens, or at a host family's home in Mt Lebanon on Friday's from 4 - 6 PM.

Hurry Hill Farm is very family friendly and has sleigh and wagon rides that take you to the sugar shack.  They cook down the maple sap into syrup the old fashioned way in a wood stoked sugar shack.

Not sure when to plant. 

Here a re a few to plant first couple of weeks in April thru mid May.

Lettuce:  Plant a small 2 X 2 foot area of mixed lettuce and you will have plenty to eat thru the 1st of June.

Arugula, Spinach, Kale, Mustard. small as above - or mix together and harvest small to add to your salads.

Dill or Cilantro.  Do you love both of these but don't have luck from transplants?  Well they hate to be transplanted.  You will have great success if you buy a couple of packs of seeds now and plant just a few seeds each week for the growing season and you will have all that you want -  not alot for only a week.  Remember 5-10 seeds is all you need to plant every couple of weeks for great success.  

Don't forget to buy extra seeds now for fall.  All of these plants are cold tolerant and can be planted again at the end of August
