Gertrude Heirloom chrysanthemum Rooted Cutting

from $15.50

SHIPPING APRIL 2026

Gertrude is a light pink intermediate incurve-style heirloom chrysanthemum with a truly unique twist — each petal is topped with fine, hair-like spikes that give the blooms an unusual texture and charm. Compact in habit, this variety produces sturdy stems that benefit from netting or light support as it grows, making it a standout choice for both flower farmers and home gardeners.

Bloom Time: Early October – Mid October
Bloom Size: 3 inches
Plant Height: 2 ½ – 3 ft
Stem Quality: Shorter, sturdy stems; support recommended
Best Uses: Market bouquets, wedding work, specialty designs, and fall displays

🌱 Growing Notes: May require frost protection depending on your zone. Heirloom chrysanthemums are not winter-hardy in most areas; we recommend treating them as tender perennials in Zones 7a and colder.

💗 Why We Love It
Gertrude is one of the most distinctive mums in our collection. Its delicate pink color offers a soft alternative to traditional autumn tones, while the fine spiky details on each petal add fascinating texture to arrangements. Blooming just after a killing frost, it ensures a fresh supply of flowers when field crops are finished, making it a reliable and charming addition to any fall lineup.

📦 Shipping: April 2026
🌎 Available to: Continental U.S. only (cannot ship to HI or AK)
