Shelbers Heirloom Chrysanthemum Rooted Cutting

from $15.50

SHIPPING APRIL 2025

Shelbers is a stunning pink quill heirloom chrysanthemum that brings drama and beauty to the very end of the mum season. A tall, elegant grower, it produces strong stems topped with large, quilled blooms. This variety requires support and frost protection in colder zones, but the reward is worth the effort—a spectacular late-season display of color and form.

Bloom Size: 4–6 inches
Plant Height: 3 – 4 ft
Bloom Time: Late October – Late November
Stem Quality: Long, strong stems with large quill blooms; support required
Best Uses: Late-season bouquets, Thanksgiving arrangements, and dramatic garden displays

🌱 Growing Notes: May require frost protection depending on your zone. Heirloom chrysanthemums are not winter-hardy in most areas; we recommend treating them as tender perennials in Zones 7a and colder.

🍂 Why We Love It
Shelbers is one of the last mums to bloom on our farm each year, carrying us well into late November with proper protection. Its long, strong stems and uniquely beautiful pink quill blooms make it a favorite for late-season bouquets and Thanksgiving designs. If you’re looking for a mum that extends the harvest deep into fall, Shelbers is a must-have variety.

📦 Shipping: April 2026
🌎 Available to: Continental U.S. only (cannot ship to HI or AK)
